More Lifedrawing?! *groans*

More lifedrawings? *groan!* - is probably what you're thinking. But yep, I'm posting more of my life drawing progress. I've been bad and haven't been going regularily... (gasps!) Gotta fix that!
...got stuck on a pose, so I let my eyes wander around the room and I drew one of the regulars.
Ponyo modelled for us??!! No, just kidding. This is me getting stumped on a pose again and letting my mind wander.
Anyways, that's all the life drawing I'm willing to show (I'm sure no one wants to see the other scribbles!) Have a great day everyone!!

Ary Inspires!

I had an idea a while back to do a bunch of cartoons with Ary illustrating inspirational quotes. Finally after a billion years I finally got one finished! What do you think? Should I keep it up?

Fight! Fight! Fight!

Tryin' my hand at action poses and dramatic shadowing. Was picking away at this one for a loooong time!! Might do an actual background for it someday, but for now a nice gradient will do.

Hot Chocolate

Now seems like a good time for a hot chocolate break!

In the Air Doodle Dump

It's about time I posted some actual drawings onto this blog! My motivation for comic work has gone down the drain lately - I really need to get my confidence back up again so that I can work smoothly again! Anyways, here are some doodles I've made in an attempt to get my fighting spirit back!! Hwa!

Until next time, folks!

Halloween in Wonderland

Asked for Allie's permission to repost these! My friends and I did an Alice in Wonderland theme for our costumes this Halloween. Liz was the Mad Hatter, I was Alice, Nelly the Cheshire Cat, and Allie the White Rabbit!
Nelly: "Good job! We've killed her!"
...and then Alice takes up bad habits and watches X-rated horror films in order to cope with the stress of Wonderland.
The White Rabbit attempts to bring her to safety!

The Sweetest Gifts

I got some sweet surprises for my birthday yesterday. First off, at work, Troy brought in a case full of cupcakes decorated like 1-Up mushrooms in honour of the day! I didn't have a camera on me, and the cupcakes were quickly devoured. Thanks again, you're so sweet! (I know you'll be reading this!)

After coming home from my dinner date, I was jumped by my friends who popped out of the kitchen! There were balloons everywhere, as they blew up a whole pack of 'em, just for me! I was so surprised! And then came the cake Allie made for me! Look! It's a little Sandra with a strawberry! (points to the photo above) Nelly got me a bouquet of flowers, and Audrey and Carolyn got me some sweet new NintendoDS games! I am so luck to have such great friends!

THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE for such a great day yesterday!! OMG, you spoil me so much!! I don't deserve it!! If you're reading this, know that I love you all! Thanks for making my birthday so awesome!

The Joy of Sisters

Here's me with my two sisters, Carolyn and Susan. When I was little, we three would do everything together!! Recently I dug up an old story ("chapter book") we made back in 1995 - I was 8, Susan was 10, and Carolyn was 12 - the story was called Fairy Forest. We made a ton of these stories - though since I was youngest and couldn't write well enough yet, I stuck to just drawing some pictures.

Anyways, these drawings are pretty funny! Here's a sample of what our young minds came up with:

Here are our three fairy characters. Susan's has black hair, and hers was named Sincalace. Carolyn's is the blond, Pinsa. And mine is the brunette, named Laso. They were cousins whose mothers (who, for some reason, were all single mothers) all lived together in a mushroom house.
There is a human girl named Jessica who befriends the fairies (Susan's character), but her father the Boss (my character) was a greedy man who wanted to take the fairy's golden wings.

Here are the characters all angry at the Boss's evil-ness. (Jessica, the human, shrinks down to fairy size by the help of the mystical old witch, Isore.) Our oldest sister Angela had a character named Salla for a while (the one who looks an awful lot like Sleeping Beauty).
Here's Boss and his side kick, Ivan, "huddling" to form a plan. Yes, huddling... I wasn't a sick child, I swear! I laugh my head off that I drew them shirtless too. Naughty, naughty.
Well, that was a sampling of my past. Growing up with so many sisters was a lot of fun! Thank goodness we all grew up into respectable young adults.

Okay, I lied. Who wants to grow up to be a respectable adult, anyway? :)

And then there was clay...

Yesh, more clay sculpture goodness! This time in the honour of the Angora Napkin premiere that happened during the Ottawa International Animation Festival yesterday. I know, I know, I'm slow and this SHOULD have been posted BEFORE the event. Oh well. Better late than never, right?

Anyways, I made a figurine of Mallory as a present to Troy before he left for the screening. My first idea was to make a figure of all three girls, but I got lazy in the end... xD

Here is Mallory before being painted. Her legs aren't right here - these ones fell off. Looking at them now, eek. I'm really glad they did! The final ones look a lot less weird. O__o

Here's Mallory and my half-Molly. When Mal's legs started giving me trouble, I erm, kinda abandoned Molly. Oh well, she's still smiling!

Aaaand! Here's the finished Mallory! And she looks so happy to be alive! Here's her at the side. I tried really hard to get her popping belly right xD

Oh, Molly. Someday I may get you a left hand and a pair of feet all your own.
I heard that things went really well with the Angora Napkin screening. It was shown with 2 other pilots, and it was by far the best!! Naturally :)
Well, that concludes my latest adventures in clay. I hope everyone enjoyed their Friday! Until next time, have fun looking at this old drawing I dug up. Can you guess which one is Sandra? *really, it's kinda difficult* I've been digging up a lot of old drawings lately, so you'll probably see more of them here.

I'm a Monster

I caught my sis Carolyn watching this video last night - Monkey Majik's new PV for their upcoming Single "Monster". The song is a lot more rock than they usually do, but that's a-ok with me! I pretty much like every song I hear from these guys. I also like the drummer's hairstyle - very unicorn!

That reminds me, my copy of their album "Sora Wa Maru De" is in. I need to go pick it up! *runs off*

What the-?

Hm, seems like the instant October hit, I totally abandoned this blog!! Don't worry, I'm still alive and working on artsy type things. Maybe I'll have something worth posting in a couple days!
...or maybe not.
